SMSC in the Community

Who we are

We aim to leverage our current community reach and extensive school network with a wealth of sporting expertise to deliver regular, engaging and safe sporting opportunities for the identified young people. The primary aim will be to provide regular sport sessions within the community targeting key groups (pupil premium, SEN, girls). We aim to use sport to remove barriers to access for those living in low socio economic areas or households; as well as providing sport as an alternative option to young people in areas where antisocial behaviour presides.

Aims and Goals

  • Whilst the primary aim will be to provide young people with safe and relaxed access to sports for those wishing to expand their education within sports coaching we will provide support guidance and potential work experience.

  • Our coaches will work with the young people to build and foster trusting relationships with adults.
